Fire control demands speed and flexibility. Crayford vehicles are designed to provide both in terrains such as scrubland or wooded hillsides where accessibility may be limited or difficult and the need to create firebreaks is paramount.
Individual models are light enough to be carried by helicopter; others are equipped with misting machines which include a special pump enabling water to be sprayed under the fire, for maximum effectiveness with minimum water usage.
